What is the Notes Boost?

It’s where we come together as a community to support each other by liking, restacking, and commenting on each others’ Notes—but only if we are genuinely interested in them.

Why should you participate?

Because the growth on Notes is amazing and should be taken advantage of now because who knows how long it will last. The Notes algorithm privileges engagement, not frequency. The Notes Boost below is how you get engagement.

How to participate:

1. Choose a Note to share.

2. Post in the comments below, i.e., on this post: TOPIC OF THE NOTE | NOTE CONTENT | NOTE URL (link)

3. CRUCIAL!

   • Click the URL of at least 5 other people’s Notes.

     • Restack the Note (most powerful for growth).

     • Like the Note.

     • Leave a thoughtful comment on the Note.

🚫 Engaging with comments in this thread does nothing.

✅ You must click the URL and engage with the actual Note.

🚫 Don’t share a restack of a post, only a Note. (Notes are getting subscribers, not restacks of posts.)

🚫! Don’t sell courses, etc. It won’t get engagement.

• When do the Boosts happen?

The Notes Boost Challenge happens every day from now until March 31 at 9 AM CT. Regular weekly Notes Boosts take place every Friday at 9 AM CT.

• How will I know it’s started?

You’ll receive the email in your inbox.

• What if I don’t get an email?

You can access the Boosts every day here. Check that you have email notifications, not push notifications turned on. Add serialize@substack.com to your contacts. If you want the Challenge, opt into the Notes Boost Challenge section. Check your spam folder.
