Thank you for this. I wrote a poem or as I like to call it my “healing manifesto.” It is my entire philosophy wrapped up. I love it for myself. Was very hesitant about sharing it with my readers, I am not a poet, but now I think I will. I suppose it’s my golden nugget!
I love that you did that. Definitely something to share.
The Golden Nugget is a little different. Even though what we do is amazing, and we want people to read it, of course, when we ask them to read something we wrote, it's work. When we send something as a little gift, it's a gift.
Love this idea. Will do it soon. Sarah, I've been trying to find out how to send you one of my paid posts (Behind My Substack Curtain), in which I share my nuggets on how I grew my Substack from 50 to over 6,000 subscribers in one year. You and your Substack are one of the secrets I talk about -- twice in this article. I don't know how to get it to you, but I'd like you to see how important you've been in my success. Thank you. Blue💙
I love this. A useful idea for a post when you don't really have time but you want to check in with your people with SOMETHING. I'll be using it. Thank you, Sarah.
Perfect - going through an overwhelm I want to write about - life changes (good ones, but still) all expressed poetically in Stevie Nicks’ Landslide. I want to share the song, specifically this line that I’ve returned to several times in my life but is most poignant now: “Time makes you bolder, children get older, and I’m getting older too older, too.”
Reflective but not sad: I see the ray of sunshine in having “climbed the mountain and turned around” with wisdom and confidence for the next chapter. I won’t write it with such a “me” focus - I’d hope it would resonate with people facing life decisions whether with relationships, careers, or that scared what’s next.
I love this AND I say in my overview that I only post bi-weekly (but I’m getting advice to post weekly with shorter content). Will that be betraying expectations? (Over thinker here) 🫠
Thank you, Sarah. I've been thinking of what to post during the five Tuesdays of June, when I'll be away a lot. A couple of years ago I did a series of reflective questions in June. This year, thanks to you, it will be nuggets, each post containing 1 fact, one reflection and 1 mindset tip. 300 words max.
Thanks for this refined approach on managing Substack, Sarah. It really helps create a comfort level for those of us who start feeling overwhelmed from time to time. Definitely going to put some of these tips into action.

Got it!
This is the closest I’ve come to a “golden nugget” post recently, but it sounds like you would recommend stripping it down more and making it a little more personal. https://www.teenhealthtoday.com/p/why-americas-boys-are-struggling
A little more personal, but I love it. Maybe a tl;dw?
Incidentally, I just prepped a golden nugget post yesterday, sharing the 'funnest" book I've read in a long time.
So cool, Annette. Link to it here!
It'll publish while I'm roaming Yellowstone…
Nugget. Song for everyone who is on fire.

Thank you, Blue! sarah@substackwritersatwork.com
You’re more than welcome. You deserve the accolades. Blue💙
Really appreciated this advice. Sick of the tsunami of performative notes (and posts) proliferating on Substack.
Tsunami is right!

This is exactly what I need to read. Thanks Sarah!
I've often written about my travels. I'm going to do one soon to celebrate some of my fellow authors' book awards!
Well, that was easy! Here's a note (not an article) I posted recently that meets my "golden nugget" category.

I think I HAVE to do this because my life is consumed by summit prep right now. Wearing overalls for air travel might be my nugget.

Interesting... just started on Substack a few days ago so this is interesting
