I also did not get an email. I have received notes boost emails before I upgraded to paid, but now I have not.

I am also not getting the emails and the link is broken. Also wondering if paid subscribers need to sign up? I didn’t get the emails last month either, and couldn’t figure out how.

Do I need to sign up or just show up to Notes challenge if I’m a paid subscriber?

Just posted seven Notes in a row for the next seven days per Sarah’s advice -- a bit cringy because it feels like I'm flooding my feed. Then I remember Substack doesn't show everything all at once and no one is staring at my feed exclusively to see everything I post, LOL. I know this will make my life easier but it feels so weird to dump those Notes in all at once.

I also prepped exactly how my SW@W note will look (header with URL), and I can't do that unless I've posted the Note and generated the URL. I ended up creating enough Notes through the end of the month, and made a conscious decision to specifically post about micro prose instead of the awesome birds in our yard, our papayas, our garden, our part-time dog ... because while I do love those Notes and will keep posting them, they have nothing to do with my Substack, and I don't actually post as much about what I teach here. I do share existing posts or Lives about my niche, but I'm going to experiment with more intentional "tips" or comments specific to my niche, one a day for the rest of July. So ... more experimenting.

Also encouraging anyone who may be new to Sarah or NBC to follow her directions, at least for one full NBC, before you start tinkering. Get out of your comfort zone. Sort of like testing a recipe for the first time--follow the directions EXACTLY before you start innovating. Some of my best performing Notes were the result of following Sarah's prompts.
