Welcome anyone who's new and hello to those who've been here a minute. I truly love Substack. Though I will admit, it can be challenging and frustrating at times.

I started three years ago and it was a different place. But it's still beautiful and unique and, in my corner at least, the humans are genuine and vulnerable and kind.

My pep talk for anyone new or struggling: Keep at it. It takes consistency and not giving up, but you will find your voice, your people, your path. Also: Listen to Sarah. :) My Substack has grown and changed considerably from working with her! Also, if you want an in credible craft teacher for writing CNF, check out Jeannine Ouellette.

I had 60-ish subs when I started and I have 851 as of today - and I've never asked for subs, other than at the bottom of my posts.

Recently, I've had a couple of notes go mini viral as well as a couple of essays, and I owe that to Sarah and Jeannine -- and myself for sticking with it. ❤️

Hi! I'm looking to hang out on Substack with other writers and readers. I post about both topics, plus stories and other creative outlets. You'll also find musings about mid-life, emptynesting, and living in a shipping container out in the woods.
