Forget the avatar. This guide helps you understand who’s actually reading your Substack—so you can write posts that resonate, convert, and build real connection.
These are great questions and I see how digging in to better understand who exactly your readers are--and what keeps them up at night--is gold. But, what is the actual process you use to get to know your readers?? I can look at comments and stats on my posts--which are, in the grand scheme, limited--learn about my readers from their substacks, etc., but I feel like at best I'm guessing about how my actual readers would answer these questions, and at worst, making it up entirely. Can you please provide some specific suggestions for assessing reader interests/needs/behavior?
That was an eye opening exercise!

This was a great opportunity to wrap my head around what my reader is up to. Thanks Sarah Fay.
Sorry I missed this. Thanks for all you do.
