SUBSTACK MASTERMIND PROGRAM: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

OVERVIEW

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Mastermind program ("Mastermind") offered by Writers at Work, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). The Mastermind is a premium group coaching and mentoring program designed for serious Substack creators. By applying for, purchasing, or participating in the Mastermind program, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Mastermind Structure

The Mastermind program may include, but is not limited to:

• Group coaching sessions

• Peer collaboration opportunities

• Access to proprietary frameworks and methodologies

• Strategic guidance for Substack growth

• Monetization and audience building strategies

• Implementation support

• Access to a private community of Mastermind members

Program Duration

• The Mastermind runs for the specific period outlined in your enrollment agreement

• All program benefits are available only during the active program period

• Access to materials, communities, and recordings may expire at the conclusion of the program

• Writers at Work, LLC reserves the right to remove access to content that has become obsolete due to Substack's evolving nature

APPLICATION AND ENROLLMENT

Application Process

• Participation in the Mastermind is by application only

• All applications are subject to review and approval at my sole discretion

• Not all applications will be accepted

• I reserve the right to accept or decline applications based on fit, group composition, and other factors determined at my discretion

Enrollment

• Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or completed payment plan agreement

• By enrolling, you confirm you have the authority and means to enter into this agreement

• Enrollment is non-transferable; your spot cannot be given or sold to another individual

PAYMENT TERMS

Program Fee

• The full program fee is due as specified in your enrollment agreement

• Payment plans, if offered, are a courtesy arrangement and do not reduce the total program fee

• All payment plan installments must be paid regardless of your continued participation

Payment Methods

• Accepted payment methods are limited to those offered through our payment system

• All fees are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified

Pricing and Offers

• All pricing and promotional offers are subject to change at any time

• While we strive to honor previous pricing offers, our programs and offerings evolve continuously

• As our services expand and improve, maintaining legacy pricing and offers is not always possible

• Writers at Work, LLC reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any pricing structure, promotional offer, or program feature

• Current rates apply at the time of enrollment, and future program enrollments may be subject to different pricing

STRICT NO-REFUND POLICY

The Mastermind program has a strict no-refund policy.

• No refunds will be given under any circumstances once you have enrolled

• No refunds for partial participation or if you decide not to participate after enrollment

• No refunds if you determine the program is not suitable for your needs

• No refunds for technology issues, schedule conflicts, or any other personal circumstances

• No prorated refunds for late enrollment or early withdrawal

• Payment plan obligations remain in effect regardless of your participation status

By enrolling in the Mastermind, you acknowledge and accept this strict no-refund policy.

ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION

Session Attendance

• Live session times will be announced in advance

• Attendance at live sessions is strongly encouraged but not mandatory

• Recordings may be provided for sessions you cannot attend, but this is not guaranteed

Active Participation

• You are expected to participate actively in the program

• The value of the Mastermind is directly related to your level of engagement

• Non-participation does not entitle you to any refund or fee reduction

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Company Content

• All materials, methodologies, frameworks, presentations, documents, and recordings provided during the Mastermind are the proprietary intellectual property of Writers at Work, LLC

• The Substack Growth Framework, strategies, and all related methodologies are proprietary

• You may not reproduce, distribute, share, sell, or repurpose the Company's intellectual property

Limited License

• You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own business only

• This license expires at the conclusion of the Mastermind unless otherwise specified

• You may not use my materials to create competing services or training programs

Confidentiality

• All Mastermind content and discussions are confidential

• You agree not to share specific strategies, frameworks, or materials with non-members

• You agree to respect the confidentiality of other members' business information

PROGRAM CONDUCT

Community Standards

You agree to:

• Treat all Mastermind members with respect and professionalism

• Maintain confidentiality of discussions within the Mastermind

• Refrain from solicitation or recruitment of other members for business purposes

• Provide constructive feedback and support to fellow members

• Comply with all platform-specific terms of service for any technology used

Prohibited Conduct

The following are expressly prohibited:

• Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful conduct toward any member

• Sharing login credentials or providing unauthorized access to program materials

• Recording sessions without explicit permission

• Using the Mastermind to promote services that compete with my offerings

• Creating a negative or disruptive atmosphere within the community

PROGRAM CHANGES

Writers at Work, LLC reserves the right to:

• Modify program content or structure to better serve the group

• Adjust session schedules with reasonable notice

• Bring in additional experts or guest speakers

• Update materials or methodologies based on platform changes or new strategies

• Cancel or reschedule sessions when necessary due to unforeseen circumstances

• Remove access to content that has become obsolete due to Substack's evolving nature

• Replace outdated materials with updated content reflecting current Substack features and best practices

TERMINATION OF PARTICIPATION

Termination Rights

Writers at Work, LLC reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Mastermind at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms

• Disruptive behavior that negatively impacts the group

• Failure to abide by community standards

• Sharing confidential materials with non-members

• Any other reason determined to be detrimental to the Mastermind

No refunds will be issued if your participation is terminated for any reason.

RESULTS AND GUARANTEES

• The Mastermind is based on strategies Writers at Work, LLC has successfully implemented with clients

• Results vary based on numerous factors including your implementation, niche, content quality, and market conditions

• Writers at Work, LLC does not guarantee specific outcomes such as subscriber numbers, revenue figures, or publication success

• Your success depends largely on your implementation of the strategies presented

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

• Writers at Work, LLC's maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the Mastermind program

• Writers at Work, LLC is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages

• Writers at Work, LLC is not responsible for technical failures or other circumstances beyond our control

• Writers at Work, LLC is not liable for business decisions you make based on Mastermind content

TESTIMONIALS AND CASE STUDIES

By participating in the Mastermind:

• You grant permission for Writers at Work, LLC to use your non-confidential results as social proof

• Writers at Work, LLC may request testimonials or feedback about your experience

• Writers at Work, LLC will obtain your specific permission before using your name or specific results publicly

FORCE MAJEURE

Neither of us shall be considered in breach of these Terms for failure to perform due to:

• Acts of God

• Natural disasters

• Pandemic or public health emergency

• Government restrictions

• Other events beyond reasonable control

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the Mastermind program and supersede any prior understanding or agreements.
